India's warehousing modernization is being jointly driven by automation, IoT, and the national logistics policy, with rental volumes hitting record highs and supply chain efficiency expected to improve significantly. This article provides an in-depth analysis of its impact.

In the long run, the digitalization of the warehousing segment will provide more granular real-time data for supply chain risk management, helping shippers and logistics providers respond to demand fluctuations and unexpected events.

Regional Impact: India's Position in Asian Supply Chain Networks

India's warehouse market expansion not only serves domestic demand but also supports multinational corporations' supply chain diversification strategies. The extension of warehousing networks to second- and third-tier cities will help connect manufacturing hinterlands with major consumer markets; with the planning of multimodal logistics parks, this infrastructure upgrade is expected to link with ports, railways, and other nodes, improving logistics connectivity in South Asia.
